Description

Neyyappam is a traditional, sweet, deep-fried pancake or fritter from Kerala, South India, made from a fermented batter of rice flour, jaggery (unrefined cane sugar), and sometimes semolina, flavored with cardamom and fried in ghee, often with ghee-fried coconut pieces inside for texture and flavor.
